This past Wednesday I saw Sara Bareilles in concert and not only was she beyond words talented, but I loved my outfit so I’d thought I’d share. Concert Attire is kind of my favorite occasion to dress for because it gives me permission to be bold with my style, and a little out there.
So in this case, I vamped up my inner hippie with fringe, round sunglasses, gladiator sandals and yes floral. This concert was super great! But while Sara looked like this:
And even gave us a wave
We looked like this:
So I’d suggest that you check the weather before you choose your concert attire. We were quite soggy after that one. But hey, at least we got our Selfie with Sara! Before it poured!
So when it comes to concert attire be yourself, be bold, and plan accordingly for any possible weather infringements.

Now, I am usually not the type to jump on holiday ware, or the over eccentric holiday enthusiast but I was listening to the radio on my way to work one morning and the radio announcers were explaining a study recently conducted. The results of this study showed that approximately 1 in 4 Americas don’t know why we celebrate the 4th of July. And 1 in 4 of the people who do know, cannot tell you what country we received independence from. This saddens me. To be honest, I took a citizenship test in participation in government class just to see if i’d pass…and well let’s just say I’m glad I was born here. History is not my thing. But the 4th of July is at the core of our countries foundation. How can 25% of the country not know what happened on that day?
So I decided this fourth of July to grab my sisters, and some flags and really celebrate our freedom. To spend some time not only goofing off in the field but really remembering the people who still fight everyday to keep our freedom. So thank you to those who are serving and continue to serve.

Tees are essential to any girls wardrobe however, I find my self lacking in the “plain tee” department. Why do plain tees have to be so well, plain? New silhouettes spice up the notion of “the plain tee” and still give your statement pieces their time to shine. I am personal fan of these three boho cut tops.
Pair this top with a tight fitting skirt and some statement booties for a night out on the town. This look is perfect for evening and to think you’re still wearing a tee shirt.
Put this tee over a dress for a casual summer day of errands or outing with the gals. The high-low compliments the dress perfectly for those cooler days summer when you need those shoulders covered.
Throw on your favorite flowing top paired with floral shorts and a flower crown for the perfect festival look. Comfortable fabrics in longing flowing layers are perfect for concert hopping. Honestly, it’s like you are wearing your jammies.
None of these looks would be complete without a necklace (or two). Add some jewels and the new plain tees are set for any occasion.

If there is any trend that I have taken full advantage of, its harem pants. Who wouldn’t want to wear their pajamas to work? These pants can transition for any occasion and are extremely comfortable.
Throw on a sun hat, tank and some sandals and these harems are perfect for the beach. Lightweight, and breezy perfect as a swimsuit cover up.
Throw on a blazer and some black harem’s and take on the office by storm. And the best part, you could roll into the next board meeting in practically your jammies and still look professional.
This look is perfect to transition from a plane to a meeting on those business trip. This is probably the most professional I’ll get.
Tomboy? No problem. Throw on some chucks, and a beanie with your favorite graphic tee. This gives the harem pants an edge.
Go grab a pair! or seven! (I suggest UrbanOutfitters, you can find them here)

Meet my cousin Emily. I haven’t seen her in months and I am so glad that she came by so I could stick a camera in her face in the cold.
Heres some facts about Emily:
-She studies Music Therapy in the great city of Pittsburgh.
-Her addiction to caffeine has her running to Starbucks every morning for her drink of choice: Vanilla Latte
-She cannot fall asleep unless she watches an episode of Dexter.
Her grunge, laid back, style is so in right now. I love how easy and laid back Emily’s look is, throw on a tee and a flannel and you have a complete outfit. She isn’t afraid of color, or texture. Throw on a pair of vans and you’re ready to go. If it gets warm tie the flannel around your waist and show off that tank! Thanks Emily for being apart of “She’s so Fancy”.
